Dr Pamela Seaton earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of New England (UNE). She brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to her training workshops, consultancy and clinical work. Dr Seaton has special interest and expertise in diagnosis, treatment and support of children, adolescents and adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) which was formerly know as Asperger’s Syndrome. She is highly regarded for her work in this area.
In her clinical practice, Dr Seaton enjoys providing a safe and supportive environment for children, adolescents and adults to explore and understand their current difficulties and to learn new skills to help them achieve their individual goals. In addition to her expertise in Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Dr Seaton has specialised training and clinical experience in:
- Psychological and psychometric assessment, including Neuropsychological assessment
- Acquired brain injury
- Assessment of and intervention for ADD, ADHD and behavioural disorders, such as Conduct and Oppositional Defiant Disorder
- Assessment of, and individual and family therapy for Psychosis

Dr Seaton is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. Barbara holds professional qualifications in two fields, those being psychology and diabetes education. She has a special interest in the psychological impact of chronic conditions, such as diabetes, not only for the person with the condition, but for family, friends and society. Barbara specialises in the area of children and youth with Type 1 diabetes.
In addition, Barbara has experience and professional clinical knowledge in screening, assessing and implementing treatments for Co-existing Disorders, and in the field of Transcultural Mental Health. She has lived and worked within the rural North West of Queensland, working with Indigenous and Non-Indigenous persons. She has worked for a number of years in a clinical mental health practice. And more recently, Barbara has worked in New Zealand, as an Alcohol and Drug Clinical Case Manager with Maori and Pakeha persons. Working in Australia and New Zealand, Barbara has gained a wide range of professional skills in the assessment and treatment of numerous psychological and behavioural disorders.
Barbara’s areas of expertise include:
- Assessment and therapeutic interventions for affect, mood and behavioural issues for diabetic, non-diabetic and transcultural persons

Barbara’s approach is collective, directed from a bio-psycho-social framework. She applies evidence based therapeutic interventions with a humanistic style to cognitive and behavioural objectives. She has specific skills in Motivational Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, Social Behaviour and Networking Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Therapy and Creative Therapy. Thérèse Landers is a nationally registered clinical psychologist working with a range of mental health issues for both adults and children including:

Andrew Crosby, Practice Manager
Andrew has been working as our Practice Manager for the last seven years and is responsible for all areas of business operations. He has recently completed a Diploma of Management and a Diploma of Business and is passionate about delivering quality service in the health care field.
Andrew is now overseeing our businesses expansion into rural and regional Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Working closely with the clinical staff, he is implementing a strategic plan to provide psychological services where mental health care options are currently limited.
