We are looking for a new Psychologist to join our Toowoomba Psychology Practice. We’re happy to take applications from Clinical Psychologists, Registered Psychologists and Provisional Psychologists.

We are finding it difficult to keep up with the demand for our services in Toowoomba. We require extra clinical staff to help us reduce our wait times so we can better serve the people of Toowoomba and its surrounding regional areas.

Job Details

We require a Psychologist with experience in the assessment & treatment of children, adolescents & adults experiencing developmental, social, emotional, & behavioural difficulties: • Anxiety (incl. separation, phobia, school refusal, OCD) • PTSD. Depression & mood problems • Eating Disorders • Developmental Disorders (incl. Autism Spectrum) • Behaviour Problems • Parent Support • Family relationship difficulties • School & Learning difficulties (including Psychometric assessments) • Social and friendship difficulties • Self-esteem and resilience.

  • Experience across a range of therapeutic areas including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, Interpersonal, Behavioural therapies, and Mindfulness 

  • Excellence in assessment, formulation, diagnostic & therapeutic skills for working with children, teenagers and adults

This position is for those who:

  • Prefer full admin, reception and marketing support

  • Require flexibility in working hours (available in full and half day blocks/evenings).

  • Require challenge and variation in their work, diverse caseload (child, adolescent, adult and family) and treating issues (anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, ASD, depression, learning, interpersonal)

  • Like autonomy but value peer supervision and support as required

  • Experience and passion for working with young children & adolescents

Essential Requirements:

  • Full registration as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist preferred, but we will also consider Provisional Psychologists for this position

  • Medicare registration as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist

  • High standards of professional and ethical practice

  • Strong commitment to Professional Development
